Morch is one of 12 people who are part of the class of 2022 to be honoured for their outstanding achievements.
Owner of Belleville Marine, a founding member of C & C Yachts and member of the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club (BQYC), Morch passed away in 2014.
His C & C corvette series of sailing yachts produced in Belleville were a favourite in the Canadian sailing community and he earned accolades in sailing competitions in Canada and abroad.
“I am thrilled that Sail Canada, the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston and the Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame are once again recognizing a number of Canadians who have contributed greatly to sailing in Canada and internationally,” said Hugh McGugan, chair of Sail Canada’s board of directors, in a news release.

“Thank you to our longstanding partners, the Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame and the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston for their hard work on identifying and celebrating these individuals who are most deserving of this national recognition as Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame inductees for 2022,” McGugan said.
“I hope to see many members of our Canadian sailing community at this 2022 Canadian Sailing Hall of Fame induction event at the Kingston Yacht Club this October.”
